Maintenance Requests: If you are a current resident, log-in with your MyCSULB credentials to submit a maintenance request.

Housing Application: We are very excited that you’ve considered a move to The Beach!  Before you begin the application process, be sure to check out all of the different residence halls we have available.  We have close to 2,500 bedspaces within University Housing.

 

To apply you must have been admitted to the University and have activated your BeachID account.

Attention Students*:

Due to limited spaces available, all applicants who complete the application process are currently being placed on a paid waitlist.  As spaces become available paid applicants will be notified via email. If you are on the paid waitlist and not provided a space by July 24, 2013 you may choose to be removed from the waitlist and your initial payment will be refunded.

*This only applies to students who have not recieved a confirmation of space email.

 Important Applicant Dates

  • Current (Returning) Residents Priority Application: February 11 - February 28
  • New Applicant Priority Application Period: March 1 - May 1
  • Open Application Period: May 1 and so on
  • Roommate Selection Period: May 13 - May 24
  • Room Selection Period: May 31 - June 14
  • Move In Day: August 24

Freshmen Residential Requirement

First-time freshmen are required (as space is available) to apply and live in University Housing during their first year at CSULB.

You are NOT required to live in University Housing if you:

  • Are over 21 years old as of Fall Semester move in day.

  • Will be living at home with a parent(s) or legal guardian(s) during your entire freshmen year. (Must complete and submit an Exemption Form)

  • To fill out the Exemption Form you must select the term, complete steps 1-2 on the application, print, complete, and send Exemption Form with documentation to Housing Office.
